single-site point-to-multipoint system that supports subscribers for
distances up to 15 miles (24 kilometers). Configuring it as a
point-to-point system increases delivery range up to 35 miles (56
kilometers). In addition, the system includes interfaces that enable it
to easily integrate with standard network management tools and billing
systems, as well as diagnostic capabilities you’ll need to remotely
monitor the network.

The Alfa Kenya solution delivers superior performance using a
modulation scheme that improves the quality of data delivery and
mitigates interference from other systems. The system’s wireless signals
are highly effective in penetrating obstacles and avoiding obstructions,
making it as efficient in dense urban environments as it is in suburban
areas or rural locations. The platform provides last mile access in a
wide variety of spectrum choices, ensuring exceptional broadband
performance no matter which spectrum is best for your network.
Enhanced Security
Alfa Kenya platform offers enhanced security with over-the-air DES
(Data Encryption Standard) encryption. Importantly, it is also available
with AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) capabilities, which provide
128-bit encryption, to ensure secure data delivery and exceptional
reliability. That’s significant, because many customers—such as
financial institutions, healthcare networks and organisations—virtually
always specify AES. With AES encryption, it would take approximately 149
trillion years—that’s older than the earth itself—to crack a code.
An Exceptional Internet Experience
The Alfa Kenya platform’s upload and download speeds are as fast as or
faster than virtually every other service available today. The
point-to-multipoint system offers up to 6 Mbps (aggregate data rates)
and the point-to-point system delivers 14 Mbps (aggregate data rates) to
your users now. Of course, upload and download speeds are affected by
several factors so actual speeds may vary, but the potential to offer an
incredible broadband experience is inherent in the system.
